Marketing and Community Outreach Intern to assist in expanding our online presence, engaging with our community, and promoting our unique offerings.
- *Position Overview**:As a Digital Marketing and Community Outreach Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand visibility, driving online engagement, and fostering meaningful connections within the community. You will collaborate with the marketing team to execute digital campaigns, manage social media platforms, and contribute to community outreach initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in the intersection of digital marketing, event promotion, and community building.
- *Duration and Compensation**:This is a 12 month internship position, with the potential for extension based on performance. Compensation will be provided in the form of
- *$22/hr for 35 hours per week**. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
- *Responsibilities**:
- *1. Digital Marketing**:
- Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns to promote our take-home painting kits, event centre, and related offerings.
- Create and curate engaging content for our website, blog, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Help optimize website content and conduct basic SEO research to improve online visibility
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to enhance online presence and customer engagement
- *2. Social Media Management**:
- Manage our social media accounts by scheduling and posting regular updates, responding to comments, and fostering online conversations.
- Generate creative and visually appealing content, including graphics, images, and videos, to showcase our products and events
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and industry developments to ensure our platforms remain fresh and engaging.
- *3. Community Outreach**:
- Assist in planning and organizing events, workshops, and initiatives to strengthen relationships with local schools, organizations, and potential customers.
- Collaborate with schools and educational institutions to promote our event center for day trips and educational activities.
- Engage with online art communities, forums, and local groups to build awareness and interest in our products and services.
- *Qualifications**:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Passion for art, creativity, and community engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation and management
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts and tools (e.g., Google
Analytics, social media scheduling tools).
- Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior experience in digital marketing, social media management, or community outreach is a plus.
