Role and Responsibilities

As a Amazon Order Picker at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring orders are accurately processed and shipped on schedule. This active, hands-on role takes place in a high-energy, fast-moving environment where collaboration and technology drive results. Key responsibilities include:

Receiving and Processing: Unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and inventory.
Picking and Packing: Use handheld scanners to select customer orders and pack items securely for delivery.
Shipping: Label, stage, and prepare packages for timely shipment.
Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (with certification) and perform necessary safety checks.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
Safety and Compliance: Follow Amazon safety procedures, OSHA standards, and PPE requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Basic computer skills and experience with handheld scanners or warehouse systems

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in warehouse or logistics (optional)
Forklift certification is a plus; training available if needed
