Are you curious about the decision-making process leading to a customer’s purchase decision? If so, we want to hear from you. Reporting to the Marketing Manager this position will aid in developing strong marketing programs to promote The Brick and its services. You will work closely with our internal and external teams to develop successful marketing promotions. Your ability to promote media strategies across multiple mediums is integral to your success in this role. You will collaborate with creative staff to create enticing campaigns for our many target customer segments. If you love planning, strategizing and working on many different types of projects this role is for you. **Responsibilities**: - Work with the Marketing Manager and Campaign Marketing Coordinator on promotional strategy and advertising calendars. - Collaborate with internal teams to develop campaign briefs that establish our promotional activities and messaging. - Develop a media strategy (broadcast, print, out of home, in store, radio, events) to correctly relay our promotional messaging to target customer groups. - Continuously reviews advertising materials to ensure a consistent message across mediums and decrease any errors. - Lead our promotional and media strategy for The Brick’s individual banners, including The Brick Mattress Stores, The Brick Outlet and Transglobal Services. - Create enticing and interesting campaigns for opt in services such a texting programs. - Work with designers, writers, editors and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with company and brand standards. - Event and partnership planning and coordination including sport integrations, contests, spokesperson meet and greets, grand openings and other special events. - Monitor, evaluate, and report on retail and industry insights; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered. - Other related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Job Requirements: - Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are your main strengths - you prefer to over communicate and follow up then leave it to chance. - Previous project management experience - leading a process and team from start to finish on projects. - A quick learner. The ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience. - Experience in written communication including previous involvement with reviewing advertising materials and proofing. - Highly effective time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills to meet strict deadlines. - Superior organizational skills. - Strong analytical and decision making skills. - Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Education & Experience: - 1 - 2 years’ experience in creating and executing successful Marketing programs. - Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or relevant workplace experience considered an asset. - Proven success with media planning including flyer, TV, radio, out-of-home and other marketing channels. - Experience in creating and executing successful Marketing programs and campaign. - Bilingual in English and French considered an asset.
