You are creative and enjoy using and developing your skills in social media marketing and engagement. You understand the basics of how to make and implement a promotion campaign with a consistent style and how to follow up with user response. You are self-motivated and able to work from home with flexible hours. You are excited to be a part of celebrating Nova Scotia's cultural diversity.
Options exist for a student to develop a personally tailored placement that will provide substantial experience for the student's resume as well as have a meaningful impact on the organization.
- *Responsibilities**:
- Effectively convey the NMS mission, vision, and programs to potential Sponsors and partners
- Cultivate a network of dedicated Sponsors, advertiser, community partners, business connections, and volunteers.
- Research individuals, corporations, and foundations whose mission aligns with Nova Multifest Society (NMS) Mission
- Spot new fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
- Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals.
- Form strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Ensure Internal (Nova Multifest Society) and External stake (such as Sponsors, partners, community partners, advertisers, new business owners, vendors etc..) are satisfied and kept in the loop.
- Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns.
- Organize fundraising events while overseeing teams of volunteers.
- Manage a budget and track whether goals are being met.
- Create reports for the govt funding received.
- Comfortable or learning to Create Graphic Design in Canva
- *Education Level**:
- *Minimum** Enrolled in a post-secondary program.

For the organization, it is expected that the student will:
- Support the implementation of the organization's digital marketing strategy, strategic plan, and activities.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations, one-pager handouts, posters, infographics, etc.
- Develop written materials such as biographies, web content, newsletter content, sponsorship packages, and/or member and volunteer information packages.
- Develop audio-video materials for promotional purposes.
- Support and contribute to the goals and priorities of the organization.
- Support completing different reports as required.
- Provide general help during events.
