THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Ecommerce Manager, you will own our presence across key retail ecommerce partners such as Thrive Market, Grove Collaborative, Walmart, Costco, Chewy and others to ensure presence and performance of the brand portfolio.

You will manage merchandising, site experience, content accuracy, promotional strategy, and performance analytics—ensuring we show up with excellence everywhere consumers shop online.

This role is ideal for someone highly organized, analytical, collaborative, and excited to build a best-in-class ecommerce foundation inside our new Chicago office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Digital Merchandising & Site Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day management of our presence across retail ecommerce partners with both physical retail and digital-only presence.
  • Collaborate with head of sales and DTC to optimize strategies across various 3rd party ecommerce partners
  • Optimize product listings, imagery, copy, categorization, and digital shelf placement to maximize visibility and conversion.
  • Manage product catalog accuracy—ensuring all product information, claims, attributes, and assets are up to date.
  • Support new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and cross-channel initiatives.
  • Ensure brand consistency and premium presentation across every digital retail touchpoint.
  • Develop and execute promotional strategy to maximize business opportunities.

Performance, Analytics & Insights

  • Monitor key performance metrics including traffic, conversion, sales velocity, and profitability.
  • Analyze category trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform improvements.
  • Deliver regular business reviews with insights, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Track and report on promotion performance and ROI.
  • Use customer behavior tools (reviews, heatmaps, search data) to drive optimization.

Conversion Rate Optimization, SEO & Testing

  • Lead CRO efforts across partner platforms, identifying opportunities to improve conversion.
  • Support SEO optimization within retail partner ecosystems to improve discoverability.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to optimize content, placement, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with data and digital teams to measure test performance and iterate.

Inventory, Operations & Forecasting

  • Lead demand forecasting for ecommerce partners to reduce out-of-stocks and ensure healthy inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain accurate stock availability.
  • Align inventory with promotional calendars and seasonal demand.
  • Maintain accurate operational details including lead times, case packs, and item setup.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing and Creative to brief ecommerce assets and ensure cohesive brand execution.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales to support digital retail growth.
  • Serve as the internal champion for ecommerce channel dynamics.
  • Manage external agencies and retail ecommerce partners to ensure strong performance.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5–7+ years of ecommerce or digital merchandising experience, ideally within CPG, wellness, or natural products.
  • Experience managing retail ecommerce accounts (including and beyond Amazon) such as Thrive, Grove, Chewy, Walmart, and Costco.
  • Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and comfort working with ecommerce dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of digital merchandising, SEO, product content optimization, and conversion drivers.
  • Proven ability to translate data into compelling insights and action plans.
  • Highly organized with strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Salary: 120K-140K + 10% bonus
