E-commerce + SEO Manager (Shopify Plus)

Accents@Home is a growing furniture retailer with multiple store locations and a Shopify Plus e-commerce business. We run regular promotions, clearance events, and seasonal campaigns. We’re hiring an in-house E-commerce + SEO Manager to improve site performance, conversion, and organic visibility—while keeping our catalog clean and our promotions running smoothly.
About the role
You’ll own the day-to-day performance and hygiene of our Shopify Plus store: catalog management, on-page SEO, merchandising, landing pages, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). This role is key to turning traffic into sales and improving the customer experience across the site.
Key responsibilities
Shopify Plus storefront management
- Update homepage, collections, PDPs, banners, promos, and featured products
- Build and maintain promo pages, collection pages, and store/location pages
- QA site changes and ensure accuracy across devices (desktop + mobile)
Product operations
- Product uploads, pricing updates, variants, images, and inventory presentation
- Catalog cleanup and ongoing structure improvements (collections, tags, product types, filters)
- Support merchandising priorities (bestsellers, clearance, bundles, seasonal)
SEO execution
- Own on-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, image alt tags
- Improve product and collection content (descriptions, structured content, keyword intent alignment)
- Coordinate technical SEO fixes with a developer when required (indexing, speed-related items, theme adjustments)
- SEO + AEO/GEO content optimization: Improve product and collection content so it performs in traditional search and AI/answer surfaces (e.g., FAQs, structured content, schema support, internal linking, clarity updates)
Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Improve PDP experience (clarity, trust, delivery info, financing info, FAQs, returns/warranty guidance)
- Improve cart/checkout experience (apps, messaging, friction removal)
- Partner with Paid Media Specialist on landing pages and tests
Requirements
- 3+ years in Shopify e-commerce management (Shopify Plus preferred)
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and technical basics (site health, indexing, speed considerations)
- Strong merchandising instincts and experience managing collections, bestsellers, and clearance strategy
- Highly detail-oriented with strong QA habits and documentation (change logs, checklists, approvals)
- Comfortable working with Shopify apps and coordinating developers when needed
Nice to have
- Experience with schema/structured data basics
- Experience in subscription, financing, or shipping-heavy e-commerce
- Familiarity with Shopify Flow and automation tools
- Experience optimizing content for AI-driven search/answer results (AEO/GEO), including FAQs, comparison content, and structured data
Compensation (90-day trial + step-up)
- Starting rate: $25/hour for the first 90 days (training + onboarding period)
- Step-up rate: Automatic increase to $30/hour after 90 days if KPIs are met
- KPI review occurs at Day 90
90-day KPI gate (must meet to qualify for the step-up)
1. Promo execution accuracy (critical)
- 0 critical promo errors during live periods (e.g., wrong discount logic, incorrect pricing, broken checkout path, major broken promo landing page/collection)
- 100% completion of the Promo Launch Checklist for each campaign (documented)
2. Catalog hygiene + content completeness
For the top 100 revenue SKUs
- 90%+ content completeness, including:
- Correct titles, pricing/compare-at, variants
- 6+ images where available
- Updated description with key attributes + dimensions (where applicable)
- Delivery/returns info present or clearly linked
- Maintain under 10 open catalog issues at any time (missing images, wrong prices, broken variants) tracked in a simple log
3. CRO shipping cadence
- Ship at least 6 CRO improvements during the 90 days (PDP clarity, delivery/financing blocks, FAQs, trust elements, collection sorting, cart/checkout messaging, etc.)
- Maintain a change log with date + URL + what changed
4. SEO execution deliverables
- Complete on-page SEO updates for:
- Top 10 collections (meta title/description, H1, internal links, intro copy if needed)
- Top 20 product pages (meta title/description, improved description, alt text on primary image)
- Set up reporting (GA4 + Search Console) and deliver a weekly summary consistently during the trial period

Pay: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
