New Harbinger Publications, a leading publisher of evidence-based self-help and psychology books, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and publicity team. This is a virtual, part-time (20 hours/week) contract position ideal for someone interested in learning the ins and outs of book marketing in a mission-driven, independent publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Enter and maintain metadata in our title management system to ensure accurate and timely book information across platforms
Pull, organize, and summarize campaign performance data for internal review and for author communications
Assist in the creation and management of digital ad campaigns, including copywriting and light design tasks
Communicate directly with authors, support campaign planning, gather information, and conduct promotional outreach

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort with data, spreadsheets, and learning new systems
Clear and professional written communication
A proactive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn
Interest in marketing, publishing, psychology, or self-help content a plus
