Position Summary

The Fulfillment Center Operator plays a key role in managing the flow of products through the warehouse by picking, packing, sorting, and shipping orders. This physically active position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to operate warehouse technology and equipment. You will collaborate closely with team members to meet daily goals and maintain Amazon’s high standards for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick products from shelves using handheld scanners or voice-picking technology to fulfill customer orders.
Packing & Labeling: Pack items securely in boxes or totes, apply labels, and prepare shipments for dispatch to customers or sortation centers.
Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, move inventory with pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (forklift use requires certification).
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by replenishing stock, conducting cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure items meet quality standards before shipment.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Collaboration: Work effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve productivity targets and resolve operational challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 49 lbs frequently.
Comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods.
Basic proficiency with technology including handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards.
Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is preferred but not required.
Forklift certification is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
