HDR is hiring a Marketing Coordinator/ Graphic Designer with strong graphic design and writing skills to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This is not a social media or traditional marketing position. HDR works on engineering projects that help build Idaho’s infrastructure, and the Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator plays an important role in winning these projects through proposal submittals. This exciting and challenging position is ideally suited for a creative, self-motivated leader who thrives in a team environment.
In this role, we'll count on you to
- Work with the Marketing team, Project Managers, and others to prepare
- The successful candidate will have experience working in a challenging environment, collaborating on documents with a team of individuals with various personality types.
- Manage multiple concurrent proposals and activities, including assembling an internal team, scheduling and facilitating milestone review meetings, directing and assuring follow-up actions, and producing final submittals to meet deadlines.
- Be responsible for the timely production and quality of marketing communications.
- Evaluate technical content to verify that the Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and evaluation criteria are met and that the proposal is compliant. Track amendments and clarifications to ensure the final proposal incorporates all required information.
- Write and edit marketing proposal content.
- Develop, layout, and coordinate graphics.
- Find efficiencies to populate company data systems: photography, resumes, project descriptions, contact management, and skill-set tracking. The successful candidate must be proficient in database maintenance and other administrative duties as needed.
- Other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in either Marketing, Graphic Design, Communication or Journalism, or a closely related field, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop is desired but not required.
- Proven writing and editing ability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions critical to job success.
- Quick self-starter, team-oriented, and able to work with different personalities and professional styles; detail-oriented and strong administration skills.
- An attitude and commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
- 3+ years of related experience. Experience including A/E industry experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
