Native German Social Media Content Writer – Destination Marketing (US-Based)

I am looking for a native German-speaking social media content writer to support social media activities for U.S.-based travel destinations, targeting the German-speaking market (DACH).
The primary platform is Facebook, with Instagram used as a secondary channel.
This role focuses on caption writing, hashtags, and calls-to-action. Visual assets (images) will be provided.
The engagement starts as short-term support during a workload peak, with a strong possibility of ongoing collaboration across multiple destination clients if the fit is right.
Scope of Work
- Write German-language social media captions based on provided images
- Develop captions aligned with defined content pillars and quarterly content strategy
- Create appropriate hashtags and CTAs for each post
- Adapt U.S. destination content to resonate with a German audience
- Ensure all copy feels native, fluent, and culturally natural (no AI-translated or literal wording)
- Revise content based on feedback when required
All content will be reviewed and approved before publishing.
Typical Volume
- Approximately 8–12 posts per month per client
- Additional work may be added for other destination clients in the same context
Requirements
- Native German speaker (mandatory)
- Proven experience writing social media copy in German
- Strong feel for tone, storytelling, and audience-appropriate language
- Experience in travel, tourism, or destination marketing is a strong plus
- Structured, reliable, and comfortable working with editorial guidelines
