Role Description

Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs for the Specialty Markets to support meeting identified revenue and market share objectives. Responsible for product launch planning and development of value propositions for the assigned portfolio and target markets. Responsible for driving effective commercial strategies to increase the sales and unit performance for the Specialty Markets which would include Point of Care, Veterinary, Urology, and other target markets and subsegments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned

  • Developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the products and target markets to achieve revenue and market share objectives by attracting potential customers and retaining existing ones.
  • Understand and continually research the market landscape, competition, customer needs, and opportunities in each target market; and assess new potential markets for opportunity.
  • Drive go-to-market and product launch planing including but not limited to defining product positioning, pricing, naming, promotional strategy, and messaging to ensure offerings will be launched successfully and maximize market impact.
  • Define and continually refine the product positioning and messaging by understanding the market dynamics, customer needs, pain points and how to market our offerings effectively.
  • Develop marketing materials and support sales and clinical training.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, identifying strengths/weakness to inform the marketing strategy.
  • Will be expected to be the brand evangelist and key spokesperson for the assigned portfolio requiring extraordinary communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to connect with key opinion leaders.
  • Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive tactical marketing campaigns to reach the target audience.
  • Support sales and business in driving internal and external promotion including sales promos, digital campaigns and social media strategy.
  • Identify key tradeshows and events and lead the strategy and vision for every event.
  • Support the Tradeshow team in planning and execution of key events focused on the target markets and personas.
  • Manage and track the budget for all marketing expenses.
  • Work collaboratively with all business functions including but not limited to Product Management, Regulatory, Corporate Accounts, Executive Leadership.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required, 10 years of industry experience, preferably in medical imaging, and MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ healthcare product marketing experience includes involvement in market research, marketing plan design, and implementation with a strategic focus on market share growth.
  • Social media experience with YouTube, Face Book, LinkedIn, X, and other web media outlets.
  • Experience in conducting both market and product segmentation assessments as part of a globally focused healthcare company.
  • Knowledge and understanding of policies and competitive dynamics in healthcare industry.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively to launch new products and leverage media opportunities to maximize brand and market share growth.
  • Ability to communicate with engineers, technical support personnel, doctors, clinicians, and health care professionals on issues relating to product performance, and the health care industry generally.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to perform clinical and product training to all levels of customers.
  • I am willing to travel internationally, overnight, and on weekends.
  • Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record is mandatory, and background and drug testing (pre- and post-employment) is required.
  • Budget, expense, and resource management experience required.
  • Must be a result oriented, team player, people person.
  • Must be self-driven to optimize performance without the need for extensive supervision.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Must have and exhibit excellent presentation skills in small and large groups situations.

Computer Skills

  • Must be excellent with technology, able to present using a laptop and able demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome
  • Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies and procedures is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when travelling.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-15 hours) for multiple days.
  • Regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
  • Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
