Position Title: Coordinator, Digital Communications (Videography focus)
Position Term: Full Time

- *Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Strategy and Communications this role requires leadership of a portfolio designed to drive communications to and engagement with Ontario Soccer’s diverse stakeholders and the general public, through digital content, photography, videography and livestreaming.
This position will help create content for the Ontario Soccer website, social media communities,
YouTube, livestreaming platforms, as well as traditional media.
The Coordinator, Digital Communications will provide support for Ontario Soccer’s communications and marketing teams, as well as assist with major event coverage.
This individual will be responsible for managing Ontario Soccer’s livestream operations as well as carrying out various videography projects. Further consideration will be given to those who also have experience with photography, social media, writing, graphic design and website management.
The Coordinator, Digital Communications will be a strong team player, thriving both as an independent self-starter and with managerial guidance alike, who will enjoy and excel at promoting all of Ontario
Soccer’s programs and activities through various media channels and platforms.
- *Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for coordination of all aspects of Livestreaming production including, but not limited to: o Recruitment and supervision of production technicians, camera operators, PxP commentators and other freelancers, as required; o Coordination of set-up and use of Ontario Soccer owned equipment and cables; o Oversight of broadcast distribution, platform management and archiving; o Support of On-Air scripts, commercial partner elements including graphics package; o Ensure competitive standard freelance rates are established and adhered to and liaise with Finance team to ensure timely pay-out of subcontractor invoices.
- Create original, curated, compelling video content for a variety of Ontario Soccer programs and initiatives.
- Create compelling social media content that is tailored to different audiences across multiple platforms.
- Assist with the overall look and feel of the website and keep it updated: o Be proactive to create regular content for the website; o Work with the team to keep information on the site current and relevant; o Work with Ontario Soccer internal departments to edit copy and post on the site.
- Assist with graphic design of print and social media, as required.
- Assist with event and program related photography, as required.
- Assist the Manager, Digital Strategy and Communications with composing various communication products.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- *Education and Experience**:
- University degree (or diploma) preferred in a relevant field;
- Experience with management and delivery of sport event livestreaming;
- Experience shooting and editing video;
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Suite of tools or similar) a plus;
- Website management experience;
- Experience with managing prevalent social channels and generating compelling quality content (FB, IG, Twitter, TikTok);
- Excellent writing skills - able to edit and generate content;
- Experience shooting sport photography, a plus;
- Sports/soccer experience (preferred);
- Flexible hours including weekend and off business hours are expected.
