Job Description
The Director of Marketing is responsible for driving demand, ticket sales, and long-term brand momentum for Interstellar Arc, Felix & Paul Studios’ flagship immersive attraction located at AREA15 in Las Vegas. Interstellar Arc is already wowing audiences with near-universal five-star Google Reviews and is on track to become the #1 immersive attraction in Las Vegas.
Beyond awareness and conversion, the Director of Marketing owns the full end-to-end guest journey for Interstellar Arc’s Las Vegas location, from first discovery and consideration through purchase, on-site experience alignment, post-visit engagement, and advocacy. This role leads the full direct marketing and communications stack, blending brand storytelling with performance marketing, content, PR, social media, advertising, and local partnerships, executed with or without external partners as appropriate. The objective is to drive demand and ticket sales while ensuring every touchpoint reinforces Interstellar Arc’s premium positioning, fuels word-of-mouth, encourages repeat visitation, and builds long-term brand equity.
This is a highly hands-on, operational, and data-driven role focused on Las Vegas visitors, adjacent tourism markets, local audiences, hotel concierges, partners, and experiential-driven discovery. The Director works closely with operations, guest experience, and sales to ensure marketing promises are aligned with on-site delivery and to continuously optimize the full guest lifecycle.
Key Objectives
- Drive consistent ticket sales and attendance through direct marketing and partnerships
- Position Interstellar Arc as the #1, must-see immersive experience in Las Vegas
- Build strong local and tourism visibility through PR, content, and partnerships
- Ensure marketing investments deliver measurable ROI
Marketing Strategy & Performance (Las Vegas Focus)
- Define and maintain a clear attribution and measurement framework across paid, earned, and owned channels, translating performance data into actionable insights that directly inform creative, spend allocation, and campaign strategy.
- Own the guest marketing journey from discovery through ticket purchase, post-visit engagement, reviews, and repeat visitation
- Own daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting across ticket sales, conversion rates, ROAS, and other key metrics
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue & Ticketing to analyze visitor mix (tourist vs local), booking behavior, and seasonality to optimize campaigns
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue & Ticketing to adjust strategy dynamically based on performance, market conditions, and Las Vegas event calendars
Advertising, Media Strategy & Execution
- Define and lead the paid media strategy for Interstellar Arc Las Vegas across digital, social, search, and local tourism channels
- Execute advertising initiatives and/or manage external partners depending on strategy, scale, and performance needs
- Develop, review, and approve media plans, budgets, targeting, and creative, whether produced internally or by agencies
- Actively manage and optimize media spend and campaign performance on a day-to-day basis, using real-time data and insights
- Test, iterate, and refine campaigns to maximize conversion, efficiency, and ROI
- Coordinate with AREA15 and local partners on joint media buys, cross-promotions, and shared visibility opportunities
Content, Communications & Social Media
- Define content and communications strategy to drive discovery, excitement, and conversion
- Oversee social media presence, voice, content cadence, and community engagement
- Guide creation of short-form video, experiential content, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and guest-generated content
- Ensure alignment between social, website, ticketing flows, and on-site messaging
- Develop and execute proactive reviews and reputation strategy across key discovery platforms (Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, travel marketplaces), leveraging guest feedback and user-generated content to drive conversion and credibility.
Public Relations & Local Visibility
- Partner closely with the Public Relations lead to align strategy, messaging, content, and editorial calendars with Interstellar Arc’s marketing and commercial objectives
- Coordinate PR moments with paid media, content, and social campaigns to maximize reach, consistency, and conversion across the guest journey
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Sales team, and Corporate Marketing to support key programming moments, seasonal beats, and experiential updates that drive urgency and repeat visitation
Agency Oversight & Vendor Management
- Act as the strategic lead for all external agencies supporting Interstellar Arc Las Vegas
- Provide clear briefs, KPIs, and expectations
- Review deliverables and ensure brand consistency and performance focus
- Hold agencies accountable to timelines, budgets, and results
Agency Agreements & Selection
- Review existing agency agreements and scopes of work
- Lead evaluations of agency performance and alignment with local market needs
- Manage RFPs and recommend agency changes when required
Skills and Assets
- 8–12+ years of experience in direct marketing with strong hands-on execution experience
- Direct experience in location-based entertainment, attractions, tourism, hospitality, or live experiences (non-IP experience preferred)
- Deep practical expertise in paid media, content, social media, and public relations
- Proven experience managing agencies and marketing budgets while remaining closely involved in day-to-day performance
- Highly data-driven mindset, with a relentless focus on output metrics, experimentation, attribution, and continuous performance improvement
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute original, creative, and unconventional marketing tactics that drive real-world traffic and conversion
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
