This U.S. hub will drive Upbit’s long-term growth strategy, operational excellence, and global competitiveness in regulated digital asset markets.
The Los Angeles office will serve as the center for commercial development, institutional engagement, and business operations—advancing Upbit’s mission to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable digital asset infrastructure to traders, institutions, and ecosystem partners worldwide.
Job Overview
The Vice President of Sales & Operations will be a key executive leader responsible for driving Upbit’s U.S. commercial strategy, operational excellence, and institutional market expansion.
Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this role will oversee revenue growth initiatives, institutional sales, operational governance, and ecosystem partnerships—ensuring alignment between business development, compliance requirements, and Upbit’s long-term global vision.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished commercial and operational leader with deep experience in digital assets, financial markets, trading infrastructure, or fintech enterprise solutions. They will demonstrate a track record of scaling revenue, optimizing operations, executing complex partnerships, and building high-performance organizations in high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Commercial Strategy
Lead the development and execution of Upbit’s U.S. and global sales strategy across institutional, enterprise, and high-value customer segments.
Identify and convert commercial opportunities across digital asset trading, liquidity services, token listings, and institutional products.
Build multi-year sales and revenue roadmaps aligned with company strategy, regulatory obligations, and global expansion goals.
Institutional Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Drive partnerships with trading firms, liquidity providers, custodians, blockchain foundations, fintechs, and enterprise clients.
Build scalable frameworks for institutional onboarding, enterprise enablement, and cross-market growth.
Expand Upbit’s institutional influence and strengthen long-term industry positioning.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Opportunity Analysis
Oversee competitive intelligence, market trends, regulatory analysis, and trading ecosystem insights.
Identify emerging opportunities in digital asset trading, liquidity markets, and institutional exchange adoption.
Translate insights into actionable sales strategies and partnership priorities.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Business Execution
Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, compliance, legal, and marketing teams to ensure unified execution.
Guide GTM planning for new trading products, listings, institutional services, and market entries.
Establish KPIs, commercial governance models, and operational standards.
Operations, Governance & Risk Management
Oversee operational processes ensuring compliant, scalable, and efficient exchange operations.
Evaluate operational risks related to new markets, counterparties, regulations, or commercial initiatives.
Support the development of governance frameworks to maintain regulatory and operational integrity.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Build, develop, and mentor a world-class sales, account management, and operations leadership team.
Foster a culture of disciplined execution, commercial excellence, and operational reliability.
Strengthen communication and alignment across global offices and functional areas.
Financial Optimization & Revenue Strategy
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning for sales and operational initiatives.
Partner with Finance to connect commercial strategies to revenue growth, profitability, and enterprise value.
Lead commercial modeling, pricing frameworks, and performance incentive structures.
Qualifications
18–20+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, business development, operations, strategy, or executive management within digital assets, fintech, trading, or institutional financial services.
Proven success scaling revenue, building enterprise partnerships, and expanding global markets.
Deep understanding of digital asset exchanges, liquidity markets, institutional trading, and compliant exchange operations.
Expertise in enterprise sales, operational strategy, GTM development, and ecosystem expansion.
Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
