The Scheduling & Community Marketing Coordinator (SCMC) is responsible for supporting both front-office scheduling operations and community-based marketing initiatives. This role ensures an exceptional patient experience through efficient scheduling, communication, and administrative support, while also fostering brand awareness and strengthening professional and community relationships.
The SCMC works collaboratively with the practice team, doctors, BOND support departments, and leadership to support practice growth, referral development, and community engagement. This in office role supports Curtis Orthodontics & Post Falls Orthodontics.
Duties and Responsibilities

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Community Marketing (approximately 60%)
- Foster brand awareness and build relationships within the community.
- Plan and execute marketing and outreach initiatives, including social media engagement and referral programs.
- Coordinate events with dentists, medical professionals, schools, and community organizations.
- Manage sponsorships, event registrations, permits, fees, swag, setup, and booth operations.
- Attend and actively represent the practice at community events.
- Oversee promotional materials, maintain calendars, media lists, and PR documents.
- Assist in producing written documents such as proposals and client communications.
Doctor Referrals
- Conduct regular visits to referring dental clinics and other potential referral sources to deliver marketing materials and share patient updates.
- Coordinate doctor lunches, Practice Manager lunches, and lunch & learns with provider teams.
- Introduce and promote the Bright Referral system to referring offices.
- Track referral activity and utilize Lead Sigma for new patient calls.
- Deliver personalized gifts to welcome new doctors and collaborate on quarterly DDS gifts.
Budget Management
- Manage marketing budgets in alignment with practice goals.
- Track expenditures for events, sponsorships, swag, and advertising.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing spend, budget status, and ROI for marketing activities.
Scheduling (approximately 40%)
- Manage daily schedules to ensure an exceptional experience for every patient.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments and resolving questions via phone, text, or email.
- Welcome patients and check them in for appointments.
- Provide superior patient service in accordance with company policies and dental board standards.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage both administrative and marketing responsibilities effectively.

- Experience in scheduling, customer service, or marketing preferred.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and basic office software.
