Account Manager, Amazon

Location: Redwood City, CA

Work Model: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in-office)

Pay: $122,000 - $152,000

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager, Amazon to oversee and grow a third-party Amazon Seller Central account for a seasonal consumer product business. This is a highly hands-on role requiring direct experience managing Amazon Seller Central in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives during peak sales periods, particularly from September through January. This role reports to the Director of Amazon Marketplace.

What You’ll Do

Amazon Account Operations

  • Manage daily operations within Amazon Seller Central, including listings, pricing, and performance monitoring
  • Optimize product listings with strong titles, keywords, A+ content, and imagery
  • Monitor account health metrics and ensure compliance with Amazon policies
  • Respond to Seller Central cases, performance alerts, and Amazon communications
  • Execute seasonal promotions, Lightning Deals, coupons, and advertising initiatives

Inventory Planning & Forecasting

  • Forecast inventory needs based on historical data and seasonal demand
  • Coordinate inbound FBA shipments and maintain healthy stock levels
  • Manage stranded inventory, suppressed listings, and fulfillment discrepancies
  • Partner with supply chain teams to minimize overstock and end-of-season carryover

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Support management of the Amazon account P&L
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Analyze seasonal results to inform year-over-year improvements

Issue Resolution & Growth

  • Resolve listing errors, policy issues, and operational challenges
  • Monitor customer feedback to protect seller performance and brand reputation
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership on seasonal launches and promotions
  • Identify opportunities for sales growth, conversion improvement, and efficiency gains

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in eCommerce or omnichannel retail
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing an Amazon Seller Central account
  • Proven success managing listings, inventory, and performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of seasonal inventory planning
  • Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with a strong sense of ownership
  • Entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon advertising tools (PPC, DSP)
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Helium 10 or Jungle Scout
  • Experience with seasonal or holiday-based product lines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related field
