About The Role

The Senior SEO Manager position is mostly independent and regularly pushes the team forward. Senior SEO Managers, with the support of the Director or SEO Team Lead, will:

Develop strategies and tactics that support client goals and drive strong organic marketing performance.

Build and maintain strong, deep client relationships with day-to-day contacts and senior stakeholders to ensure high client retention and growth.

Troubleshoot minor to complicated client issues independently.

Implement and test new capabilities to enable client growth.

In addition, Senior SEO Managers

Lead junior analysts on certain accounts.

Train new hires on basic and standard concepts.

Provide support for client services deliverables during the sales process for upsells and new business.

Responsibilities

Develop strategies and tactics that support client goals and drive strong organic marketing performance.

Build and maintain strong, deep client relationships with day-to-day contacts and senior stakeholders to ensure high client retention and growth.

Troubleshoot minor to complicated client issues.

Implement and test new capabilities to enable client growth.

Support the Director or Team Leads in training of new team members.

Provide temporary support and contribute to client service deliverables during business development for upsells and new business.

Client communication and relationships

Develop strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.

Attend and participate in all meetings/calls with clients.

Communicate effectively with various audiences, with occasional support.

Create and present insightful, meaningful, accurate reports and analysis.

Execute the Workshop Digital client flag process and proactively identify resolutions.

Go the extra mile for assigned clients within the scope of the SOW.

Internal communication and relationships

Proactively seek and accept feedback.

Share feedback with colleagues tactfully.

Inform the Director or SEO Team Lead of any concerns or issues from clients when appropriate.

Share meaningful information that advances the team.

Participate in the interview process.

Lead special projects with support.

Business development

Identify new opportunities for clients to meet their business goals.

Independently identify opportunities for case studies and coordinate with marketing.

Manage beta tests of new services for clients.

Support the sales team with RFPs, presentations, audits, and SOWs.

Elevate client requests for SOW changes with minimal support.

Training

Update and expand training content regularly.

Develop original technical training content with QA.

Conduct team trainings to develop expertise.

Stay current on industry tactics and updates.

Contribute thought leadership content periodically.

Mentor junior team members.

Channel management

Optimize client websites through technical and content updates.

Perform keyword research, analyze competitor and keyword data.

Manage local listings for clients.

Write, optimize, and syndicate content.

Generate and plan content ideas.

Conduct technical, content, and local audits.

Optimize websites for CRO.

Create and prioritize strategies aligned with client goals.

Take ownership of client performance, meeting and exceeding expectations.

Set up and review Google Analytics and other tracking software.

Identify threats, industry updates, and opportunities for clients.

Conduct ongoing tests for growth and client goals achievement.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on SEO experience for complex clients.

Ability to handle challenging clients with respect.

Strong keyword research and content strategy skills.

Ability to prioritize workload with minimal support.

Build strong relationships.

Create insightful client strategies and reports.

Present data clearly and actionably.

Lead client meetings effectively.

Deliver core training.

Log client hours and meet deadlines.

Advanced communication skills.

Advanced analytical capabilities.

Occasional training and initiative leadership.

Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite, including Google Analytics/GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio.

Advanced SEMRush experience preferred.

Expected base salary range is $80,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience.
