Since its opening in 2002, our unique facility has hosted a variety of events from prestigious corporate conventions to lively celebrations. But at the heart of our venue is the hundreds of weddings we have hosted. JOB SUMMARY

What does a Social Media Coordinator do?

The position of our Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing the venue’s online presence through social media platforms and its Google Business Profile.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

What are day-to-day expectations?

  • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy for the venue
  • Create a consistent content schedule for all platforms
  • Record and edit video-based content during key events
  • Organize still-image content collected from venue clients
  • Monitor social media channels to engage with our followers
  • Analyze social media performance through Google Analytics
  • Participate in staff meetings to review upcoming events, professional goals, challenges, and brainstorming sessions to promote team success

REQUIRED SKILLS

What competencies are necessary for this job?

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest)
  • Experience with Hootsuite and Google Analytics
  • Ability to create Instagram Reels from start to finish
  • Knowledge of the ever-changing social media platform trends and algorithms
  • Maintain venue’s event standards with high attention to detail
  • Sufficient office and computer skills
  • Sufficient communication and writing skills
  • Excellent team player

OPTIONAL SKILLS

What skills may not be required, but are great to have?

  • Previous experience in the hospitality or event industry
  • Bilingual

QUALIFICATIONS

What would make a candidate eligible for consideration?

  • Bachelor’s degree or impressive work history
  • Willing to work a non-traditional schedule occasionally including evenings and weekends
  • Willing to commute and work in-person in Grand Prairie, TX
  • Lifting up to 15lbs and walking/standing 8-10 hours
  • Submit to all city-required background checks

COMPENSATION

What compensation is offered?

  • Part-time, hourly position with approximately 5-20 hours per week available
  • $18-$22 per hour commensurate with experience
