Position Description: Digital/ Social Media Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer
Job Type: Part-time
About Us: La Mer Luxe, a women's resortwear brand located in Mt. Pleasant, SC, is searching for a Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer. We’re looking for a person who is self-motivated, results-oriented, and must possess great written and verbal communication abilities. This individual will be highly organized, detail oriented, have a positive attitude, and be a team player. This role is responsible for managing in the full spectrum of marketing needs. Digital Marketing / Social Media / Website responsibilities:
- Interpret written or spoken ideas and concepts into compelling digital and print graphics, materials and templates with high visual impact that align with either the La Mer Luxe identity or specific project messages
- Post, monitor, and create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budgeting, planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
- Maintain social media accounts to grow or establish presence on established outlets, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram and Reels. Manage and respond to all comments and DM across all platforms
- Maintain website, update content/photos as needed. Copywriting skills necessary for website and all marketing material.
- Develop and manage marketing calendar
- Create and upload line sheets, swatch cards, images, and hyperlinks to the website
Email Coordination responsibilities
- Create and manage all email communications for La Mer Luxe and maintenance of email lists
- Provide proofs of all email communication and artwork to CEO
- Produce and execute marketing schedule for all trade shows and events
- Maintain and organize La Mer Luxe database
Graphic Design responsibilities
- Interpret written or spoken ideas and concepts into compelling graphics, materials and templates with high visual impact that align with either the La Mer Luxe identity or specific project messages
- Creates and distributes engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-blasts, web page and blog content, or social media messages
- Design, create and manage social ad campaigns, being sure to integrate with company’s overall marketing campaign plan and channels
- Create catalogues, postcards and other marketing materials
Other Job Functions
- Promotes La Mer Luxe Core Values
- Work directly with La Mer Luxe team to shoot photographs of samples and edit and identify all photographs for website use and future communications
- Basic-to-Intermediate level photo editing skills
- Be knowledgeable about social media implementation best practices and strategies
- Researches and monitors activity of company competitors
- Complete any other projects or tasks as assigned by the CEO
- Ensure that all marketing material produced adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and reinforcing brand identity across all channels
- Other projects as needed
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or degree in graphic design, fine arts or any other related field or any combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability.
Experience: 2 - 5 years of marketing or graphic design experience. Previous fashion experience a plus.
Skills: Graphic design knowledge with programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., specifically with mockups, web design, social media graphics, and other media presentations. Knowledge and experience in digital medium. Excellent communication skills. Photography skills and manipulation. Basic-to-intermediate level video creation and editing skills. Social media management. Email platform (Mailchimp) experience. WordPress, HTML/CSS and WIX skills are a plus. Proficient in Excel and database management. Analytical thinker. Organizational skills a must. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under deadlines. Excellent writing/editing/grammar proofreading skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment. Self-starter. Proactive.
Equipment/ Programs to Be Used
Personal Computers and Printers; Copy/Fax Machine; Multi-Line Phone; Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PDF; Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Mailchimp; WordPress/HTML, and Faire.
Work location : Hybrid Remote in Mt Pleasant, SC
Hours- Flexible 15-20 hours per week

Create one email campaign for a new collection launch.

Write a description of 1) the La Mer Luxe brand identity and 2) your assessment of our website.
