About The Role
The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance, growth, and day-to-day management of our company's ecommerce website. This role will drive online sales, enhance the customer experience, and ensure our digital presence supports the company's overall retail strategy. The ideal candidate combines creativity, analytical thinking, and technical expertise to optimize site performance, product presentation, and digital marketing initiatives for our furniture and appliance business. This role would be based out of Madison or Milwaukee office.
What you will be doing each day
Website Management & Optimization
Oversee daily management of the ecommerce website to ensure accuracy, usability, and a seamless shopping experience.
Manage product listings, pricing, promotions, and online inventory in coordination with merchandising and store operations teams.
Optimize site navigation, product descriptions, and visual content to increase conversion rates.
Collaborate with IT or web developers to troubleshoot issues and implement site enhancements.
Sales Growth & Marketing Integration
Develop and execute ecommerce strategies to meet online sales targets and support overall business objectives.
Partner with marketing to align digital advertising, email campaigns, and social media promotions with website initiatives.
Monitor digital campaigns' impact on traffic, conversion, and revenue; provide recommendations to improve ROI.
Implement SEO best practices to maximize organic search visibility.
Analytics & Reporting
Track, analyze, and report on ecommerce KPIs (traffic, conversion, average order value, cart abandonment, etc.).
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, Meta Business Suite) to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to inform strategy and decision-making.
Customer Experience & Brand Consistency
Ensure the website reflects the company's brand standards, promotions, and in-store customer experience.
Collaborate with customer service to address online inquiries, reviews, and post-purchase satisfaction.
Monitor competitor websites and industry trends to keep our online presence competitive and fresh.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with store operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth fulfillment and delivery of online orders.
Support integration between ecommerce and brick-and-mortar operations to enhance omnichannel shopping (e.g., buy online, pick up in store).
We are looking for individuals with
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or related field.
3–5 years of experience managing ecommerce websites, preferably in retail, furniture, or home goods.
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar).
Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, digital advertising, and online merchandising.
Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Data-driven mindset with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
We are would prefer an individuals with
Experience with inventory management and ERP integration.
Familiarity with digital content creation, photography, and UX/UI design principles.
Knowledge of CRM and email marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
