Looking for a Freelance Textile Print Designer (Swimwear)

We are currently looking to commission a freelance textile / surface print designer to create a custom, original seamless print for a luxury swimwear brand.

This role is specifically for designers with experience creating repeat patterns for apparel, ideally swimwear or resortwear. This is not a fit for illustration-only, branding, or home decor work.

What We're looking for

• Proven experience designing seamless textile repeats
• Strong understanding of print scale on the body
• Experience with stretch fabrics is a plus
• Ability to deliver print-ready files (TIFF or PSD, CMYK, 300 DPI)
• Freelance, project-based availability

Aesthetic direction

Modern, organic, fashion-forward prints (contemporary swim/resort style). Fully original and copyright-safe.

Responsibilities

• Design original seamless repeat prints for swimwear
• Create artwork optimized for stretch fabrics and body scale
• Develop print concepts aligned with a modern, fashion-forward aesthetic
• Deliver production-ready print files for overseas manufacturing
• Collaborate on revisions based on fit, scale, and production feedback

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a textile or surface print designer
• Strong portfolio demonstrating seamless repeats for apparel
• Experience designing for swimwear, resortwear, or fashion preferred
• Understanding of repeat construction, scale, and fabric application
• Ability to deliver files in TIFF or PSD, CMYK, 300 DPI
• Reliable communication and ability to meet agreed timelines

Nice to Have

• Experience with swimwear or stretch textiles
• Knowledge of print production workflows
• Familiarity with overseas manufacturing processes
