Job Overview

We are seeking experienced CDL A drivers to join our team for local Amazon delivery routes. This position involves operating tractor-trailers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight within designated local areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with the ability to handle various types of freight and equipment, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction on every route.

Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
• Manage route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safe driving practices
• Assist in securing freight properly to prevent damage during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred
• Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized freight vehicles is a plus
• Delivery driver experience within a logistics or freight environment is highly desirable
• Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is advantageous
• Knowledge of route planning and load & unload procedures for freight transportation
• Strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service standards
• Ability to work independently on local routes with minimal supervision
