Who This Role Is For

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work and wants to build deep expertise in eCommerce content operations. If you like working in Excel, managing product data, improving workflows, and being the person who keeps things moving behind the scenes, this role offers clear ownership, stability, and visible impact.

This is not a creative marketing role. It’s a hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

What This Job Actually Does

As a Digital Content Analyst, you’ll be responsible for getting products accurately and efficiently live on the client’s eCommerce site. You’ll process incoming product content, ensure Product Detail Pages (PDPs) are complete and customer-ready, and troubleshoot issues that block products from going live.

You’ll spend much of your day working in Excel and content systems, managing large sets of product data, and collaborating with internal teams when content needs clarification or prioritization.

What You’ll Do

Product Content Onboarding (Primary Focus)

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding of product content to the client’s eCommerce platform
  • Process incoming vendor content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and customer readiness
  • Upload and maintain product information on Product Detail Pages (PDPs)

Content Quality & Issue Resolution

  • Perform regular quality checks on PDPs
  • Identify and resolve content or data issues that prevent products from going live
  • Act as a point of contact when teams need clarity on onboarding status or blockers

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with purchasing, marketing, and operations teams to provide status updates
  • Coordinate with external agencies supporting product titles or enhanced content
  • Communicate clearly when timelines are impacted by missing or incorrect information

Workflow & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage daily and weekly content intake to prevent backlogs
  • Support priority or promotional product requests
  • Contribute to process improvements as tools, automation, and AI capabilities evolve

Tools & Environment

This role involves daily hands-on work with data.

  • Excel (filters, formulas, lookups such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • eCommerce platforms and Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Large product datasets (SKUs, attributes, dates, identifiers)
  • Exposure to automation and AI-supported content tools (no prior experience required)

What Success Looks Like

  • Product content moves through intake smoothly with minimal backlog
  • PDPs are accurate, complete, and customer-ready
  • Stakeholders feel informed and supported
  • You are viewed as reliable, detail-oriented, and easy to work with
  • You adapt to changing priorities without losing accuracy or momentum

What You Bring

Must Haves

  • Experience onboarding or managing product content in an eCommerce environment
  • Strong Excel skills (filters and formulas required; lookups preferred)
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong follow-through

Nice to Haves

  • Background in content operations, digital merchandising, or marketing
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices for product content
  • Experience working with vendors or external agencies
  • Interest in automation or process improvement
  • Retail or consumer goods experience

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience with large-scale eCommerce operations
  • Strong Excel and data-management skills
  • Exposure to cross-functional workflows in digital retail
  • Experience supporting automation and content optimization initiatives
