Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

The Paid Social Marketing Specialist is a member of the in house Digital Marketing team at Ally. This individual will be tasked with helping us execute our in-house support of paid social campaign execution across multiple channels and lines of business. The ideal candidate has previous hands-on-keyboard execution experience either from agency or advertiser direct experience in campaign builds, ad trafficking, or other digital marketing coordination tasks.

The successful candidate will possess a track record of excellent organization and rigorous attention to detail in execution. This person will have to partner with various teams across the organization, including IT, Analytics, and onsite personalization teams, in addition to external platform partners. They will also need to be process-oriented as we grow this program's scope over the next year.

The Work Itself

  • Optimize & execute as a hands-on-keys trader for Ally Paid Social Media programs across Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other emerging social channels.
  • Responsible for daily execution of targeting tactics inclusive of creation of custom audiences, bid adjustment and budget management using native social platform interfaces or social marketing technology platforms.
  • Collect and analyze data, identify trends and proactively communicate insights ensuring positive KPIs across different lines of business.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to present learnings and maximize the value of the programs.
  • Support the digital marketing team in set up processes inclusive of checking ad serving set up, tracking parameters and reporting capabilities.
  • Adhere to and maintain a testing plan to maximize investment value and traffic, share insights with brand, media, and creative teams in collaboration with the rest of the paid social marketing team.
  • Continually learn, advancing skills and knowledge of online advertising, financial services, and competitive trends. Share new developments with the team and how to leverage them.

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ years of experience in online paid social as a campaign analyst, associate media planner/buyer, marketing coordinator, account manager or hybrid required
  • 1+ years of experience executing campaign builds and/or prior training in ads manager portals of social media platforms required
  • Experience in other online advertising channels (programmatic paid search, online video, affiliates) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant field of study preferred
  • Experience working in a corporate environment with exposure to large marketing budgets in a matrixed org with cross functional collaboration preferred
  • Previous experience working with ad tech such as an ad server, CRM, SEM tools or paid marketing platform preferred.
  • Collaborative and positive approach to internal and external partner relationships
  • Strong MS Excel abilities, including the ability to use formulas, functions & pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with statistics and online advertising metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Positive and productive interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to strong results
  • Must have a passion for social media: obsessed with the latest social trends, heavy consumer of social content, and ready to dive into the data side of paid social that drives real results

Base Pay Range: $55000 - $95000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
