Immediate Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established hotel ownership group to recruit an experienced Director of Sales for a hotel operation in Kingston. This is an existing vacancy and a critical leadership role within the organization.
The successful candidate will lead the sales function across two complementary hotel assets with shared meeting and event facilities, reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with senior leadership to drive revenue performance.

Role Summary
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for all revenue-driving sales activity across group, meetings and events, corporate, business transient, and leisure segments. You will balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership to ensure sales activity is aligned with demand, pricing strategy, and market opportunity.
This role is best suited to a sales leader who enjoys mentoring teams, building relationships, and working collaboratively with hotel leadership to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies that support revenue growth across multiple market segments.
- Lead group, corporate, and event sales efforts, with a focus on maximizing shared meeting and conference facilities.
- Partner with hotel leadership to align rate strategy, demand planning, and sales priorities.
- Drive achievement of budgeted revenue goals while maintaining strong cost awareness.
- Review business mix, booking pace, and forecasts to guide sales focus and resource allocation.
- Oversee marketing initiatives across digital channels, communications, and customer engagement platforms.
- Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of online content and sales collateral.
- Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to inform decision-making.
- Implement sales incentives and performance expectations that encourage accountability and results.
- Lead regular commercial reviews and translate insights into clear action plans.
- Provide consistent performance reporting to leadership.
- Recruit, coach, and develop sales team members, supporting career growth and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Support site inspections, client meetings, and market travel as required.
