Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Digital Specialist focused on Paid Search. You will own the strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting for our Google Ads and other search-based advertising platforms (e.g., Bing/Microsoft Ads). This role is ideal for someone who is deeply analytical, performance-driven, and excited to build and scale paid search channels that directly impact revenue growth.
While this is a remote role, we prefer candidates who are open to occasional hybrid collaboration within the GTA.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Paid Search Strategy & Execution
- Own end-to-end management of Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads and other search platforms (e.g., Microsoft/Bing Ads).
- Develop and implement search strategies aligned with revenue, ROAS, and new customer acquisition goals.
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and search-intent mapping to inform campaign structure.
- Write, test, and iterate high-performing ad copy and extensions.
🛠 Campaign Setup & Account Architecture
- Set up new ad accounts from scratch, including campaign architecture, conversion tracking, audience setup, and feed/asset configuration.
- Build scalable, clean campaign structures designed for efficient optimization and accurate measurement.
- Maintain consistent naming conventions, tagging, and performance hierarchies across accounts.
📈 Optimization & Performance Management
- Execute ongoing optimizations: bid strategy adjustments, negative keyword refinement, budget pacing, audience layering, ad copy testing, and landing page alignment.
- Monitor performance daily and adjust tactics to improve CPA, ROAS, conversion volume, and overall efficiency.
- Run A/B tests across ad copy, landing pages, and campaign structures.
📊 Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
- Ensure accurate conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager, GA4, and platform-specific tracking tools.
- Build weekly and monthly performance reports that highlight insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify growth opportunities, scaling tactics, and inefficiencies across campaigns.
🤝 Collaboration
- Work with creative and marketing teams to ensure landing pages and site experience support Paid Search objectives.
- Provide search insights that guide broader marketing strategy, promotional planning, and business forecasting.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–4+ years of hands-on experience managing Paid Search campaigns, with deep expertise in Google Ads. E-commerce experience is a must have.
- Experience with other search platforms (e.g., Microsoft/Bing Ads) is a strong asset.
- Experience managing multiple ad accounts simultaneously, including media planning and performance oversight across accounts.
- Strong understanding of SEM fundamentals: bidding strategies, keyword segmentation, quality score optimization, dynamic ads, and search audience strategies.
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), conversion tracking, and attribution.
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with hands-on experience conducting A/B testing to inform data-driven optimization decisions.
- Excellent communication and project-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
- Experience setting up Paid Search accounts from zero, including account-level configuration, tracking, and structural design.
- Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or pet-related industries.
- Familiarity with Looker Studio dashboards or similar BI tools.
