CDL-A OWNER-OPERATORS NEEDED (AMAZON FREIGHT)

Overview

We are seeking experienced CDL-A Owner-Operators to join our team specializing in Amazon freight logistics. This is an excellent opportunity for independent drivers with their own tractor-trailer to partner with a reputable carrier dedicated to reliable and efficient freight delivery. The ideal candidates will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage routes effectively across various freight types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and more.

Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with handling procedures
• Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning and executing delivery schedules
• Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or dump truck materials depending on the assignment
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
• Utilize forklift or other equipment as needed for loading or unloading cargo in warehouse settings
• Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required
• Proven experience with freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload procedures
• Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely over long distances and varied terrains
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling
• Experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules independently
• Must meet all federal and state licensing requirements for commercial driving
