Required Skills & Qualifications

8-10 years of relevant industry experience
Expert knowledge of backend technologies and ecommerce platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, and others
Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Strong competence in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and frameworks like SpringBoot and ReactJS
Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture principles
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with APM, distributed tracing techniques, and monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch and Datadog
Knowledge of diagramming tools and methodologies such as Miro and Diagrams.net
Understanding of oAuth2 and other authentication and authorization best practices

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Develop and implement backend architectural systems and services
Contribute to and maintain Architecture Decision Records
Drive best practices in backend engineering policies and standards
Support platform backend operational practices including disaster recovery and availability planning
Collaborate with other engineers to evangelize backend practices across the organization
